At today’s UN Security Council briefing, the Permanent Representative of Greece, Ambassador Sekeris
➡ reaffirmed its commitment to the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Sudan
➡ stressed that the humanitarian situation in Sudan -in particular Darfur- is dire
➡ expressed support for all efforts aimed at dialogue and mediation, and stressed that there is no room for impunity
➡ welcomed and encouraged continued progress in Ali Kushayb’s landmark trial
➡ expressed Greece’s support for the ICC as an independent and impartial judicial institution.
