Agreement on the appointment of UNSC Subsidiary Bodies’ Chairmanship

Greece is very pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached among UN Security Council member states on the pending issue of allocation of chairmanships of Subsidiary Bodies, under Greece’s Presidency of the Security Council.

Greece expresses our appreciation for the constructive approach of all UNSC Member States and congratulate the current E10 and P5 coordinators, Slovenia and UK respectively, for their contribution to the final agreement.

Greece’s constructive role from the beginning was pivotal in facilitating this agreement and now the Council can proceed with the work of its Subsidiary Bodies, which is decisive for the performance of its overall functions.
