At today’s UN Security Council high-level Open Debate, Greece highlighted:
↪ that the peaceful settlement of disputes is among the bedrock principles of the UN
↪ its adherence to the principle of peaceful settlement on international disputes, which is based on the primacy of international law, as set out in Chapter VI of the UN Charter
↪ as a credible force and pillar of stability in its region, has always been committed to the rules of int’l law, including UNCLOS, placing particular emphasis on the prohibition of the threat or use of force
↪ its determination to work in an efficient and productive way in order to further promote the peaceful settlement of disputes and the respect for international law and the UN Charter, which are longstanding principles of the Greek foreign policy
