At today’s emergency UNSC meeting on threats to international peace and security, the PR of Greece:
➡️ underscored the fundamental importance of respect for international law and the UN Charter, and reaffirmed Somalia’s unity, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and political independence;
➡️ stressed that actions undermining these principles have no legal effects and risk renewed instability & regional spillover;
➡️ called for dialogue with, and through, Somalia’s legitimate and internationally recognized Federal Government, in full accordance with international law, to address the situation.
