UNSC meeting on Threats to Inernational Peace and Security (Venezuela)

At today’s Security Council meeting on Threats to International Peace and Security, Greece:

➡️ Emphasized the need for full adherence to international law, particularly the UN Charter, as well as to human rights law, including the protection of civilians

➡️ Reiterated the importance of combating transnational organized crime and drug trafficking through sustained cooperation and in full respect of international law

➡️ Underscored the lack of legitimacy of Nicolás Maduro and expressed support for a democratic transition in Venezuela, achieved through a peaceful, inclusive, and negotiated process that reflects the will of the Venezuelan people.
