The Security Council convened this afternoon to discuss the 41st Report of the International Criminal Court Prosecutor on the situation in Darfur. The Permanent Representative of Greece, Amb. Evangelos Sekeris:
➡️ highlighted the commitment of the Office of the Prosecutor to meet the expectations of the victims regarding past crimes, including crimes committed since 2023 in West Darfur, and in particular gender-based crimes
➡️ underscored that the cooperation of the Government of Sudan is essential in the cases that the ICC is examining
➡️ underlined Greece’s support for the work of the Office of the Prosecutor of the ICC with regards to Darfur.
