At today’s UNSC Arria Formula meeting, Permanent Representative of Greece to the UN, Ambassador Evangelos Sekeris:
↘️commended the OHCHR and the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine for their excellent work as reflected in their respective reports
↘️underlined that International Humanitarian Law must be upheld
↘️condemned in the strongest terms the inhumane treatment of prisoners of war and civilian detainees by all sides
↘️reaffirmed Greece’s unwavering support for Ukraine’s 🇺🇦 independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders and its inherent right of self-defense against the Russian aggression.
