At the UN Security Council briefing on the Middle East (Yemen), the Permanent Representative of Greece:

↪ Stressed that recent developments highlight the persistent risks of escalation, further political fragmentation and worsening humanitarian conditions.

↪ Called on all parties to exercise restraint, reinforce dialogue and enhance diplomatic efforts to diffuse tensions, that risk undermining stability in Yemen and the wider region.

↪ Reaffirmed our full respect for the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of Yemen and support to the Government of Yemen.

↪ Urged all parties to engage constructively and in good faith in an inclusive Yemeni-led and Yemeni-owned political process under the auspices of the United Nations and UN Special Envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg

↪ Requested the immediate release of UN, NGO, humanitarian staff and diplomatic personnel unlawfully detained by the Houthis.
