At today’s UNSC Briefing on UN Peacekeeping Operations, the Charge d’Affaires a.i. of Greece:
↪ Called for the timely completion of the review on the future of UN peace operations, as envisaged in the Pact for the Future, to ensure they are fit to address evolving challenges
↪ Reiterated support for UNISFA and MINUSCA, which continue to deliver under significant budgetary and personnel constraints
↪ Cautioned against one-size-fits-all approaches, stressing that any adjustments must be tailored to each mission’s specific needs and conditions
↪ Supported the integration of new technologies, including AI, remote sensing, and enhanced situational awareness, into the training and capacity-building of peacekeepers in both missions.
