At today’s UN Security Council briefing on Iran (UNSC Resolution 2231), Greece reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the global non-proliferation architecture. Iran must commit clearly and unconditionally to an exclusively peaceful nuclear policy.
A comprehensive negotiated solution remains the only way towards a credible, verifiable, and durable peace — addressing proliferation concerns, preventing further escalation, and contributing to regional stability.
Greece reaffirmed its full solidarity with Bahrain, Kuwait, and other countries in the region that continue to be targeted, and called for the full and unconditional return to the status quo ante in the Strait of Hormuz.
