At today’s UNSC briefing on ICC Libya, the Permanent Representative of Greece, Ambassador Sekeris:
➡ thanked ICC Prosecutor Mr Karim Khan for his briefing, while expressing regret for him being unable to brief in person, as mandated by the UNSC
➡ underlined that the cooperation of the Libyan authorities remains a key factor in both the investigations of the Prosecutor and the timely conclusion of the investigation phase
➡ underscored the obligations of cooperation between the ICC and the Rome Statute States Parties, as well as those stemming for States from Resolution 1970 (2011)
➡ stressed that the empowering and security of victims, witnesses and affected communities are critical for the completion of the investigations of the ICC Prosecutor
