At today’s UN Security Council briefing on UNSMIL & Libya sanctions, the Permanent Representative of Greece Ambassador Sekeris
➡ expressed Greece’s support for a strong, stable and unified Libya, free from any form of foreign interference
➡ reiterated Greece’s support for UNSMIL and the new SRSG Ms Hanna Tetteh
➡ highlighted the need for respect to the UN Charter and International Law, including UNCLOS
➡ underlined the need for advancing the political process and holding free, fair and democratic elections
➡ expressed concern over the prolonged presence of foreign forces and foreign fighters in the country
