At today’s UN Security Council High Level Open Debate on strengthening Maritime Security through international cooperation for Global Stability, the UN Security Council was briefed by Dr Christian Bueger, an IR Professor at the University of Copenhagen and an UNIDIR Research Fellow.

“There are no sustained efforts to address maritime security systematically. Consequently, many emerging issues lack adequate attention. Today presents an opportunity for the Council to lay out pathways for meaningful change & recalibrating collective efforts.”
