On the occasion of the International Human Solidarity Day (20 December), the Permanent Representation of Greece to the United Nations reaffirms its commitment to the achievements of the UN Secretary-General and emphasizes the importance of diversity and unity. Greece encourages and contributes to ongoing discussions about a sustainable future, focusing on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Solidarity is identified in the Millennium Declaration as one of the fundamental values of international relations in the 21st Century.
