In keeping with its values, Greece never stopped to prioritize the need to provide relief towards those suffering during emergency situations. It has also stood in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and has done so through actual field work. In particular, aid to Ukraine has been recently distributed through Greece’s support towards two UN bodies: The Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF), which supports rapid humanitarian response for people affected by armed conflict and the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), which helps humanitarian organizations to perform their work on the spot.
Moreover, Greece supports Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction, through comprehensive and collaborative public and private endeavors monitored by the Secretariat General for International Economic Affairs of the Hellenic Foreign Ministry.
