The 62nd session of the Commission for Social Development (CSocD62) convenes at the United Nations headquarters in New York, from 5-14 February.
The main theme of the 62nd session is fostering social development for achieving the 2030 Agenda and poverty eradication. ‘Hellenic Aid,’ Greece’s national authority for development co-operation was invited to contribute to the High-Level Panel Discussion. Addressing the Session, Hellenic Aid Director Eleni Nikolaidou emphasized particular social policies towards inclusive, resilient and equitable societies that leave no one behind. Social progress is attainable and viable as long as it presupposes an inclusive decision-making process, where people participate in designing, implementing and following up on these policies.
Hellenic Aid Director Eleni Nikolaidou was invited to participate in the High-Level Panel Discussion by the Under-Secretary-General of the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), Mr. LI Junhua.
