On February 9, we celebrate the International Greek Language Day. The Greek language has wielded a profound influence on the evolution of numerous languages over the course of history.
To honour the enduring impact of the ancient Greek legacy, for this year’s anniversary, Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Mr. Giorgos Kotsiras chose to highlight the ‘3 D’ motto of our candidacy to the United Nations Security Council. The three ‘Ds’ stand for Democracy, Dialogue and Diplomacy.
All three words are Greek and nowadays have acquired a universal meaning. They are of rich and monumental significance, sending out a powerful message to the world. Hopefully, the same will go for our tenure too!
