The Security Council adopted/issued this afternoon the following products:
Unanimous adoption of UNSCR 2810 extending the mandate of the Counterterrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED) until Jan. 5, 2029. Greece highly values CTED’s substantial contributions in countering terrorism and violent extremism. In view of complex emerging challenges, CTED’s role in the UN counter-terrorism architecture remains vital.
Presidenial Statement (PRST) on the 30th anniversary of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Greece remains strongly committeed to promoting peace and stability in BiH and our immediate neighborhood. We will continue to support BiH towards its European integration process for the benefit of its citizens and the entire region.
Unanimous adoption of UNSC 2811 extending for 6 months the mandate of UNDOF and requesting UNSG to ensure that UNDOF has the required capacity and resources to fulifill the mandate in a safe and secure way.
