UN Security Council meeting on the situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian Question

Jun 29, 2026 | News and Media

At today’s UN Security Council meeting on the Palestinian Question, the Permanent Representative of Greece:

↪️ Stressed that collective determination is needed to support the Comprehensive Plan for Gaza, as the humanitarian reality on the ground remains catastrophic and the gap between needs and delivery remains wide.

↪️ Called for the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid at scale and the opening of additional crossings across the Strip.

↪️ Expressed readiness to participate in discussions on the Horizon Fund in close cooperation with the PA, looking forward to the Palestine Donor Group meeting in Brussels in a few weeks.

↪️ Underscored that Gaza and the West Bank form a single, indivisible territorial unit of a future Palestinian State, categorically opposing plans to expand control or annex parts of the West Bank and calling for the respect of the Status Quo of the Holy Sites in Jerusalem.
