At today’s UNSC High Level Briefing on the Cooperation between the United Nations and the League of Arab States, the Permanent Representative of Greece:
↪ Highlighted the deep and traditional ties of friendship and partnership between Greece and the Arab world, as well as the shared vision for regional prosperity and peace.
↪ Advocated for enhancing cooperation between the UN and the League of Arab states in addressing complex security challenges.
↪ Reiterated its call for the Middle East Peace Question to be resolved on the basis of the two-state solution, for Lebanon to be put back on the path to peace and for Syria to achieve a peaceful and inclusive transition.
