At the UN Security Council briefing on the situation in the Middle East, the Permanent Representative of Greece:

↪ Fully condemned attacks against Jewish communities worldwide, including recent attacks in Manchester and Sydney, as well as all forms of antisemitism and xenophobia, including anti-Muslim hatred.

↪ Reaffirmed its commitment to the two-state solution and the 20-point Peace Plan.

↪ Underscored the urgent need to protect Palestinians including Christian communities in the West Bank.

↪ Underlined the importance of preserving the Status Quo at Jerusalem’s Holy Sites.

↪ Emphasized its full support for UNRWA, highlighting the need for unimpeded humanitarian assistance to Gaza.

↪ Invoked the olive branch, the logo of its Security Council tenure, as a symbol of resilience and peace.
