The Security Council convened today for its annual open debate on working methods.
The members of the Council had the opportunity to be briefed by Ms. Loraine Sievers of Security Council Procedure and Ms. Shamala Kandiah Thompson, Exec. Director of Security Council Report. PR of Denmark, Amb. Lassen, also briefed on behalf of the co-chairs of the Informal Working Group on Documentation and other Procedural Questions.
Greece joined E10 fellow members in a statement delivered by Pakistan on behalf of the group, acting as coordinator for the month of November.
The ten UNSC elected members reaffirmed their commitment to live up to the responsibility bestowed upon them through their election by the members of the UN, to work together towards a more transparent, inclusive and representative Council for all.
