At yesterday’s UN Security Council briefing on the Middle East, the Permanent Representative of Greece:
↪️ Expressed support for the work of the UN and its Agencies and partners in the Gaza Strip, with the approaching winter adding urgency to the need for shelter, sanitation, and heating.
↪️ Drew attention to the situation in the West Bank, where a sharp increase in settler violence has been noted.
↪️ Firmly supported UNSCR 2803, giving international legitimacy to bodies and structures to oversee the implementation of the Peace Plan.
↪️ Underscored that the two-state solution, as reaffirmed by the international community during the Conference co-chaired by France and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, lies at the end of our collective path.
