At yesterday’s UN Security Council briefing on Ukraine, the Permanent Representative of Greece:
↪ Reiterated Greece’s resolute condemnation of the massive civilian harm caused by Russian strikes, as a blatant violation of international humanitarian law
↪ On World Children’s Day, commemorated the plights of the children of Ukraine and reaffirmed Greece’s support for international efforts to ensure the safe return to Ukraine of all Ukrainian children unlawfully deported and transferred to Russia and Belarus
↪ Regretted the broader repercussions of this war of aggression, including on the environment, energy, food and maritime security, as well as on supply chains on a global scale
↪ Reaffirmed Greece’s firm and unwavering support for Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders
