At today’s UNSC high-level Open Debate on the Middle East, Greece:
↪ called for the end of war in Gaza, for the facilitation of the delivery of humanitarian aid into the Strip, as well as for the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages.
↪ stressed that any humanitarian plan must adhere to the core principles of international humanitarian law, cover all parts of Gaza and support the existing humanitarian operations within the Strip.
↪ condemned the escalation of settler violence and the expansion of illegal settlements in the West Bank.
↪ expressed hope that the upcoming High-Level Conference on the Two-State Solution will bring new impetus to the political process.
