The Security Council convened this afternoon to discuss the latest developments in the Middle East. PR of Greece, Amb. Evangelos Sekeris:
➡️ Urged all parties to avoid any further military escalation and to exercise maximum restraint
➡️ expressed Greece’s readiness to support all immediate diplomatic efforts to defuse the situation
➡️ stressed the importance for both sides to adhere to the UN Charter with regards to the use of force and the integrity of global non-proliferation regime.
