UN Security Council debate on the situation in Bosnia & Herzegovina

At today’s UNSC debate on Bosnia & Herzegovina, the Permanent Representative of Greece, Ambassador Sekeris, in his national capacity:

➡ stressed Greece’s strong commitment to the maintenance of stability and security in Bosnia & Herzegovina, as well as our continuous engagement and substantial support to the EU Operation EUFOR Althea

➡ highlighted that, in full respect of the Dayton Peace Agreements, the sovereignty, territorial integrity, constitutional order and political independence of Bosnia & Herzegovina will not be called into question

➡ underlined that, in view of Bosnia & Herzegovina’s EU perspective, its institutional structures should be fully respected and applied in a spirit of mutual trust and dialogue by all sides

➡ outlined that the Thessaloniki Declaration of the 2003 EU-Western Balkans Summit laid the European integration process key principles, based on a shared European vision of fundamental values
