In today’s Security Council meeting, the Permanent Representative of Greece Ambassador Evangelos Sekeris:
- highlighted the importance of ensuring unrestricted access of humanitarian aid across Sudan
- called for the need to scale up international aid to address the increasing level of food insecurity especially in famine-affected areas
- underscored the need to focus on the protection of civilians, including women & children
- supported all efforts aimed at dialogue and mediation and commended the work of SRSG Ramtane Lamamra.
